Interview Reflection - Game Sale Promotion


Basically,
I have conduct three interview with 3 respondents who are aged from 20 to 29 years old. Between these 3 interviews that i had conducted, i had noticed few problems.
One of the problem is i can easily get nervous when i am interviewing with someone who i had never met before. I started mumbling and sometimes i myself could not understand what am i talking about as well as i did repeated the same questions many times, caused me to start thinking that im a not professional enough to sitting in front of them to carry on the interview session.

Besides, respondents that i interviewed are all youngster who are aged in early twenty and at the end of twenties. their experienced might be as much as the thirties and forties. So sometimes the opinion that they gave might be based on the youngster views.


Lastly, the problems that i met during the interview is the respondents misunderstand the concept of the topic that i supposed to interview with them. There is one interviewer who at first thought that game sales promotion techniques is a game which people can buy them home. After i explained to them, they finally understand it. .

Through this interview, i realized that i need to improve my communication skill as well as my professional skills. As before doing an interview, we should have few times interview practices so that we wont be easily get nervous when the real interview is carrying on. Moreover, as a future marketer, probing skills need to be improve as without doing so we might fail to get the real data and the data in details, we only will get the surface of the questions but not the core of it. In addition, we need to always ask in question form as if the questions that we ask have the probability of the leaking questions exist, the interviewee may not answer his or her opinions, but just follow what we ask to answer yes or no.
